I just got back from spinning class and I’m exhausted! But you know what? I love it! Normally, I don’t like going to the gym for cardio, but this thing is awesome! There is nothing like the feeling you get after an intense workout. It just completely relaxes you and releases all the stress that has built up during the day.

I took my first class about 2 months ago and didn’t know if I’d like it or not. In fact, I really didn’t start going regularly until about 3 weeks ago because I made excuses not to go. I soon found out that the workout was very beneficial for me not only to release some stress but also to help control my ever expanding waistline. Since moving down to Carlsbad in October 2008, I’ve played less volleyball, twice to be exact, and so I needed to find a new outlet. I always wanted to try spinning and one afternoon, I finally took the plunge. I went once every two weeks initially and then once a week and recently, I started going twice a week. Now only if I can change my eating habits, I’d be set.

If you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend it! If you belong to a gym, check for times and availability. If the classes are anything like mine, space is limited so make sure to get there early to reserve a spot. Happy spinning!
