Eyes of Youth – [1PicADay]

I was going over the 3000+ pictures that I took this year and I came across this one in Lightroom. I wish I had something meaningful to say about this picture but the fact of the matter is, it’s one of those pictures that just catches my eye. Maybe it was the moment that I snapped the picture or the occasion. Who knows. All I know is that every time I come across this picture, I stop and just look at it.

Tobey – Golf Swing Sequence

I met up with my brother-in-law Ramel and nephew Tobey at the golf range after lunch today. Tobey is pretty active in different sports like gymnastics, swimming, tennis, karate and of course, golf. I took some pictures of his swing and finally had the opportunity to use the 6.3 fps (frames per second) of the 50D. With the exception of wearing two gloves (my dads influence on him), he’s not doing to bad.

Tiger Woods in the making? I think he’s heading in the right direction. 🙂

SoCal Vacation – Legoland 2009

My sister, brother and their families were down in SoCal last weekend for a much needed vacation. On Saturday, they drove down to Carlsbad to go to Legoland. On their way there, they stopped by my condo to check out the place. It was great to have them finally see it since I’ll be moving out in a couple of weeks.

This trip was the first for my nephew, Joshua. It was quite an experience to say the least. By the end of the day though, everybody had fun and was looking forward to the trip to Disneyland the following day. Below are a few of my favorite pics from Legoland.

The picture below was taken right before Jenn, Edison and Joshua were about to get on their first ride. We had been waiting in line for about 45 minutes and during the wait, you could tell Joshua was getting flustered and impatient. By the time we got to the front of the line, he didn’t want to go on the ride and let everybody know about it. Haha!

Joshua eventually started enjoying himself, espescially when we got to the game area. Love this sequence of him. He actually won a prize at this game.
Tobey and Joshua were having a blast.
Tobey had fun driving the Lego cars.
And he proudly showed off the license that he received.

Easter Weekend

This Easter weekend was definitely something I needed. It gave me an opportunity to see some of my friends and old coworkers, to handle some last minute tax issues and most importantly, too see my family. Like most weekends, it went by too fast. As I sit here waiting for my 20 minute delayed flight, I’m already missing them. Fortunately, my sister and brother and their families will be coming down in the next month or so. Yay!

I didn’t get a chance to take too many pictures this weekend but this has to be my favorite. Love the face on my nephew Joshua as he was watching a Sponge Bob DVD. And of course my other nephew Tobey playing Super Monkey Ball on my iPhone.
